It’d be a bummer to be the dude on the cover. Missing a head. For 1999 this is a trailblazer. Early 90s death is still embraced here, it’s more extreme and…brutal. Modern OSDM fans may dig this. Drummer is insane, fast as fuck snare work, many artists have to program drums these fast. I’ve heard hints of slam in material as old as ‘94, but this is sort of the blueprint, just much more raw in theme. I’m sad the pic is censored. I think everyone wanted to see a decapitated man’s flaccid penis.
Favorite track: Choking on Bile.
Molesting the Decapitated originally came out in 1999 and was hailed by many as the most brutal album in death metal history, some would argue that this is still the case today. It goes down in history as one of the cornerstones of the ultra-brutal death metal genre (some say slam... but I digress)
